Sydney Thomas, the viral ring girl who captured attention during the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight, is back to share more about herself after receiving a wave of support online. The 20-year-old University of Alabama student hit a major milestone recently, surpassing one million followers on TikTok. To express her gratitude, Sydney posted a fun “get to know me” video on November 25, thanking her fans for the love and attention.
“I couldn’t be more thankful or blessed,” she said in the video. “Thank you for all the positive comments and follows! I feel like you guys have seen me on TV, but you don’t really know who I am, so let me tell you a little more about me.”
Sydney opened up about her background, explaining she grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and later moved to Alabama to study management and entrepreneurship. She’s on track to graduate early in August, despite being a junior, and revealed that she’s also balancing her studies with her passion for travel. “I’m technically a junior, but I’m finishing early, which is exciting,” she shared. “And by the way, I’m smart! People think just because I’m a blonde I don’t have a brain, but I scored a 33 on my ACTs, so… take that!”
In addition to her studies, Sydney keeps busy with her social media work, modeling gigs, and her role with the St. Louis Cardinals’ game day hype squad, where she handles in-game entertainment and interviews. She explained that she was spotted on social media by Jake Paul’s team, which led to her debut as a ring girl in October.
“I’m very athletic and love working out,” she added. “I’m all about health and wellness, and I’m really into self-improvement—physically, mentally, and emotionally.”
Fans who were curious to learn more about Sydney now have a deeper look into her life, and she’s clearly excited to share her journey with her growing online community.
