Two young sisters were killed in a devastating car crash in Rialto, California, allegedly caused by a drunk driver who fled the scene, authorities said.

Neveah, 4, and Alinah, 3, were described by their grieving parents as their “beloved angels.” The accident occurred late Sunday night, November 24, at the intersection of Riverside and Walnut avenues, police reported.

According to the Rialto Police Department, a Dodge Ram pickup truck, driven by Alexis Garcia, 28, ran a red light and crashed into a Honda carrying the two toddlers and their parents. The collision propelled their vehicle into a nearby tow truck. Despite being in car seats, one of the girls was ejected from the car due to the impact. Tragically, both sisters were pronounced dead at the scene.

Driver Arrested on Murder Charges

Garcia allegedly fled the scene but was apprehended by authorities shortly after the crash. Police allege he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. Garcia has been charged with two counts of murder. It remains unclear if he has entered a plea or retained legal representation.

Parents Grieve While Recovering from Injuries

The girls’ father, Marky Flores, sustained a broken femur and underwent surgery. He is unable to work during his recovery, leaving the family not only emotionally shattered but also financially strained. Their mother, Valencia Avilez, is now tasked with seeking support for medical expenses and funeral costs.

A GoFundMe campaign set up by the family has already raised nearly $28,000, with the community rallying to help the devastated parents.
