Princess Diana’s Glamorous Nieces Stun at the British Fashion Awards

Princess Diana’s nieces, Lady Amelia Spencer and Lady Eliza Spencer, turned heads at the 2024 British Fashion Awards with their perfectly coordinated outfits. The 32-year-old twin sisters, who are the daughters of Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, looked stunning in elegant black gowns as they graced the red carpet at London’s Royal Albert Hall on December 2.

Although their looks were similar, each sister added her own unique twist to stand out. Amelia wore a sleek off-the-shoulder dress with a plunging v-neckline and delicate sleeves. She upped the glam with sparkling diamond accessories, including a statement choker, a bracelet, and earrings that matched her rings. Her blonde hair was styled in a chic bun, and she kept her makeup subtle yet glamorous with brown eyeshadow and a nude glossy lip.

Eliza’s look was just as striking but with a touch of velvet sophistication. Her gown featured a straight neckline and dramatic off-the-shoulder lantern sleeves. She also sparkled in diamonds, wearing a wrap-around choker and matching bracelet that added a vintage touch. Her earrings, diamond cuffs, perfectly completed her look. Like her sister, Eliza opted for a sleek bun and soft, neutral makeup.

The twins’ stylish appearance wasn’t the only thing that stood out. Their connection to Princess Diana remains a poignant part of their story. Born in 1991, Amelia and Eliza grew up in South Africa after their family moved there in 1995. Their parents, Charles Spencer and Victoria Aitken, divorced two years later, just months after Diana’s tragic death in a Paris car crash.

In a 2021 interview with Tatler, the sisters shared childhood memories of their aunt, who they knew simply as “Aunt Diana.” Eliza recalled the moment their father explained Diana’s passing, saying she thought it couldn’t be real—like the ending of a fairytale.

Even as children, the twins felt Diana’s warmth and love. “She was incredibly kind and always made time for us,” Eliza shared. Growing up far from the media spotlight in South Africa, they didn’t fully understand the impact Diana had on the world until much later.

Now, as adults, Amelia and Eliza carry Diana’s legacy in their own way, stepping into the spotlight with grace and style while cherishing the memory of the aunt they adored.
