In a shocking event that has left the Fresno community in mourning, 21-year-old Adriana Gonzales was fatally shot and subsequently run over by a vehicle on Saturday, November 25, 2023. The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Wayne’s Liquor near California Avenue and Fresno Street in southwest Fresno.
According to the Fresno Police Department, Gonzales arrived at the location and confronted a passenger in another vehicle, leading to a physical altercation. During the confrontation, an individual from the other vehicle fired multiple shots, striking Gonzales in the upper body. As she fell to the ground, the suspects fled the scene, running over her in the process.
