The Metropolitan Police Department has shared some big news about a robbery case that happened in Northwest D.C. earlier this year. They’ve made an arrest!
Here’s what went down: On the morning of September 18, 2024, around 9:20 a.m., a man was walking into his apartment on Van Ness Street in the 3000 block when something terrifying happened. As he stepped inside, someone came up behind him and attacked him. The suspect didn’t stop there—they rummaged through the victim’s pockets, grabbed whatever they could, and ran off.
Fast forward to December 19, 2024, and there’s been a big break in the case. The police, armed with an arrest warrant, took 24-year-old Ricky Lynn Cloutterbuck, a resident of Northwest, into custody. Thanks to the hard work of detectives who pieced everything together, Cloutterbuck is now facing charges for Robbery Force and Violence.
This arrest is a reminder of how important it is to stay alert and report anything suspicious to the authorities. It also highlights the dedication of the police and investigators who work tirelessly to keep the community safe.
