Teen Fighting for Life After West Englewood Shooting

A 17-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot in Chicago’s West Englewood neighborhood on Monday night, according to police.

The incident happened around 8:46 p.m. on the 1200 block of West 74th Place. The teenager was sitting in a parked car when someone opened fire, hitting him in the neck and shoulder.

He was rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he is being treated for his injuries. His condition is reported as critical.

At this time, authorities have not taken anyone into custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
