In Louisville, Kentucky, someone is recovering after a frightening incident while shoveling snow during the area’s first big snowfall of the year. The event took place on Sunday afternoon, January 5, on Forest Bend Circle in east Louisville.

According to Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS, a person collapsed while clearing snow. Thankfully, a nearby neighbor witnessed what happened and quickly jumped into action, performing CPR to help them.

Emergency crews arrived shortly after receiving the call. Jordan Yuodis, a spokesperson for Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS, shared that the responders acted fast, resuscitating the individual before rushing them to the hospital for further care.
