Two people were hurt Wednesday evening in Willimantic after what started as an argument took a dangerous turn involving a kitchen knife.
The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. at an apartment complex in town. Police arrived at the scene to find that a domestic dispute had spiraled into a fight.
According to authorities, the fight escalated quickly, and a kitchen knife was used, leaving both individuals injured. The people involved, both in their 30s, were taken to the hospital. Thankfully, their injuries are not life-threatening.
The police assured the public that this was an isolated incident, and there’s no danger to anyone else in the area. Detectives are continuing to investigate what led to the altercation and are working to piece together exactly what happened.
