A man has been arrested after a bomb threat disrupted the day at Oxford High School in Oxford, Alabama, on Wednesday morning.
The Oxford Police Department acted quickly to address the situation. Police Chief Bill Partridge confirmed that Nathan Lashad Woods was taken into custody for making a first-degree terrorist threat. The arrest happened after officers executed a search warrant at a home on Chestnut Avenue in Anniston.
Chief Partridge shared a strong message for the community, emphasizing their commitment to safety. “We take all threats seriously and will do whatever it takes to ensure our schools and children are protected,” he said. “If you make threats like this in Oxford, we will find you and hold you accountable. We’re grateful for the teamwork of all the agencies involved and the support from the community.”
