The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for help from the community to find a group of people involved in a robbery that happened in Northeast Washington, D.C.
On Saturday, January 18, 2025, just before 2 p.m., officers from the First District were called to the 700 block of Second Street, Northeast. A man there told police he had been robbed. He explained that a group of suspects came up to him, attacked him, and stole his coat. After the robbery, the group took off in two stolen cars—a white Hyundai Elantra with Virginia license plates UCZ6524 and a black Hyundai Elantra with North Carolina plates KCZ7931.
The good news is that nearby surveillance cameras caught clear images of the suspects and the cars. These photos could play a big role in finding out who’s responsible for the crime.
