A man was seriously injured in a shooting in Austin, Chicago, on Sunday afternoon, according to police.
The incident happened around 2:23 p.m. on the 5400 block of West Walton Street. A 48-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk when a car pulled up next to him. Someone inside the vehicle fired multiple shots, hitting the man in the chest and right arm.
Emergency responders arrived quickly and rushed the victim to Mount Sinai Hospital. His condition was reported as critical.
