Three Killed in North Dakota Reservation Shooting, Police Arrest Suspect

A tragic shooting on Tuesday morning took the lives of three members of the Spirit Lake tribe in North Dakota. Authorities have confirmed that a suspect has been arrested.

The Spirit Lake Tribal Council expressed deep sorrow over the incident, calling it a heartbreaking loss for the community.

“We are deeply saddened by this tragedy,” the Council said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims’ families. We ask for understanding and support as we grieve together.”

Lockdown Lifted After Shooting

Following the shooting, officials placed the area on lockdown, urging residents to stay indoors for safety. Later, the lockdown was lifted, and people were allowed to move freely again.

To allow time for healing, the Spirit Lake Tribal Council announced administrative leave for all tribal employees.
