Eau Claire, WI – A routine traffic stop turned serious on Saturday evening when a 34-year-old Eau Claire man was arrested for suspected OWI while having two minors in the vehicle.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, troopers pulled over David Young on Highway 312 for speeding. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers noticed signs of impairment, leading to his arrest.
Further investigation revealed additional concerns, as authorities are also recommending charges of possession of methamphetamine along with other possible violations.
The two minors in the vehicle were safely removed and placed in protective care. Meanwhile, Young was taken into custody and booked at the Eau Claire County Jail.
