Burned Car Horror: A Twisted Tale of Arson, Murder, and a Chilling Confession

Share news:

A shocking case spanning two states has led to the arrest of a 20-year-old Mississippi woman, Tameria Clark, after a burned car with a body inside was discovered in Memphis, Tennessee. Authorities have charged her with tampering with evidence, arson, and abuse of a corpse in connection to the July incident.

The story began on July 20, when Memphis police were called to the scene of a car fire near an intersection during the early morning hours. The vehicle was towed to an impound lot, where employees later made a horrifying discovery: a burned human body inside the car. The victim was identified as Jaderius Webb, also 20, from Horn Lake, Mississippi. He had been reported missing by his father that same day.

As investigators dug deeper, they found a trail leading back to Clark. According to reports, Webb was last seen alive on July 19, and he had plans to meet up with Clark. The investigation revealed that Clark’s mother had received a text from someone asking if Webb was safe. Her chilling response? “No.”

On July 26, police executed a search warrant at Clark’s home. They also reviewed her social media activity, where they found a video from the day of the fire showing Clark at a party. Witnesses from the party said Clark arrived late, appeared upset, and was seen crying. She reportedly told friends she had done something that would “send her to jail.” According to an arrest affidavit, Clark allegedly revealed that someone had been killed at her house in Horn Lake and that she was told to dispose of the body. She admitted to setting the car on fire as part of the cover-up.

So far, authorities have not disclosed Webb’s cause of death, but his death has been officially ruled a homicide. No one else has been arrested in connection to the case.

Since the fire occurred in Memphis, Clark was taken into custody by Memphis police. She is currently being held in the Shelby County Jail with a $500,000 bond. Her next court appearance is set for December 19.

This case has left many questions unanswered and a community seeking justice for Jaderius Webb. Investigators continue to piece together what happened in this tragic and disturbing incident.
