In Anderson, South Carolina, a mother is facing charges after allegedly kidnapping her two young daughters on Christmas Day.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office reported that Shenekqua Antwinette Miller took her two girls, aged 10 and 2, from a home on Ki Ki Ce Ce Lane in Anderson. Authorities said she left the area on foot with the children, prompting a search.
Thankfully, just after 6 a.m., deputies found the two girls safe, and their mother was taken into custody. Officials confirmed that Miller is now facing three charges for unlawfully putting a child at risk or causing harm.
It’s a troubling situation, especially on a day meant for family and celebration, but the swift action of law enforcement ensured the children were found quickly and safely. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
