Large amounts of blood were discovered in a sober-living home in Cimarron Hills, Colorado, sparking a search for three individuals and the tragic discovery of a fourth person dead.
It all began on December 19 in El Paso County when deputies received a call around 6:56 p.m. to check on a home located in the 1800 block of Pima Drive. When they arrived, they found blood in multiple areas of the house, leading to an urgent investigation.
Authorities are now searching for three people connected to this scene.
The first person deputies are looking for is John Rankin Morris, 46. He is described as being 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds, with short brown and grey hair, blue eyes, and a tattoo on his right ear.
The second person is Hailey Diane Cole, 43. She is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs 145 pounds, and has medium-length brown hair and blue eyes.
Deputies warn that both Morris and Cole are considered armed and dangerous. If you see them, do not approach them. Instead, call 911 immediately.
The third person, Stephen Walker, 37, is being treated as missing under suspicious circumstances. He is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with tan skin, black hair, brown eyes, and tattoos on his right arm.
Stephen’s cousin, Leona Neely, shared her concerns in a media report, describing him as a kind person who keeps to himself. “He doesn’t bother anybody,” she said. “He’s a good person. I don’t see anybody wanting to hurt him.”
Stephen and Morris both reportedly lived in the sober-living home where the blood was found.
The case took a darker turn on December 24 in Park County when deputies conducted a welfare check at a home in the 1500 block of Campfire Road. There, they found 65-year-old Timmy L. Huston dead. The cause of his death is still under investigation.
As part of this broader investigation, authorities searched for a black 2013 Audi A4 with Colorado license plate MYZFYT. The car was eventually found about half a mile from the Campfire Road home at a trailhead. Investigators are also looking for a blue 1994 Ford F-150 pickup truck with a “HUNTER” sticker on the left fender. This truck has a Colorado license plate: TQQ039. It may still be in Colorado or could be heading to Mississippi.
Stephen Walker’s family is urging the public to help. “There is an amazing man missing,” Neely said. “He’s a father, he’s a brother, he’s a cousin, and he may be in danger. If you see this blue pickup truck or the people in the photos, please call immediately.”
