Deadly Streak: Fifth US Plane Crash in Two Weeks Hits Scottsdale

Share news:

A tragic plane crash in Scottsdale, Arizona, on Monday has left one person dead and four others injured. This is the latest in a series of plane accidents that have occurred over the past two weeks.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the accident happened when a Bombardier Learjet 35A landed at Scottsdale Airport and veered off the runway. It crashed into a Gulfstream 200 business jet that was parked on private property. The City of Scottsdale stated that initial reports suggest the Learjet’s left landing gear failed, causing the crash. The Learjet had been arriving from Austin, Texas, at the time of the accident.

The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. local time on runway 21 of Scottsdale Airport. Following the crash, emergency responders rushed to the scene. Sadly, one person was pronounced dead upon arrival, while four others sustained injuries. Officials worked to retrieve the remains of the deceased victim.

Authorities have not yet released the names of those involved in the crash. Jet Belonged to Vince Neil

Reports later confirmed that the Gulfstream jet belonged to Mötley Crüe singer Vince Neil. However, Neil was not on board at the time of the crash. His representatives issued a statement on X (formerly Twitter), expressing sympathy for those affected. They described the situation as a “rapidly evolving investigation” and confirmed that there were four people on the Learjet, including two pilots. The statement did not clarify which individuals were injured or killed.

Following the crash, all flights at Scottsdale Airport were temporarily suspended for six hours before operations resumed.
