Early Morning Shooting in Southeast Portland: Suspect on the Run

A shooting in southeast Portland left one person injured early Sunday morning. Police said the incident happened around 1:30 a.m. near Southeast Division Street and Southeast 148th Avenue.

According to officers, things took a violent turn after a confrontation between two individuals. One of them ended up shooting the other. The victim was quickly taken to the hospital and is expected to recover, which is a relief.

As for the person responsible, they fled the scene before police arrived. Despite their efforts, officers haven’t been able to track the suspect down yet.

At the moment, there aren’t many details about what led to the confrontation or who the suspect might be. Police are still investigating and haven’t shared any additional information.
