Employee Betrayal: How a Trusted Worker Allegedly Stole $122K in Bismarck

Share news:

In Bismarck, North Dakota, police have arrested a man accused of stealing a significant amount of money—nearly $122,000—from the business where he was employed.

The arrest came after Structural Materials Incorporated, a local company, reported suspicious activity involving one of their employees, Derrick Heninger. According to the business, Heninger had been tampering with cash transactions by voiding them in their system and pocketing the money instead.

The police acted on the report, leading to Heninger’s arrest. His trial is scheduled for April 23, where he’ll face charges related to the theft.

This case has sparked conversations about workplace trust and the importance of internal checks to prevent fraud. Structural Materials Incorporated hopes justice will be served, while the community keeps an eye on the upcoming trial for further developments.
