A Fall River man, 42-year-old Justin Dupras, is facing serious charges for allegedly shipping cocaine across the country through the mail. According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, Dupras is charged with attempting to possess cocaine with intent to distribute.
Prosecutors say Dupras mailed a package containing about two kilograms of cocaine from Los Angeles to Fall River on December 17, 2024.
Two days later, he arrived at the Fall River post office, where another individual reportedly signed for the package and handed it to him. Dupras was arrested later that day by Fall River police.
Investigators have linked Dupras to similar schemes, revealing that he previously mailed packages from Chino Hills, California, to Fall River on September 17, 2024, and from Los Angeles to Fall River again on October 29, 2024.
Flight records show that Dupras returned to Massachusetts on the same day he sent these packages, indicating a pattern of activity.
Dupras is expected to appear in court in Boston, though a specific date has not yet been set. This case highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to crack down on drug trafficking across state lines, using modern postal and flight records to track suspicious activity.
