A Florida man got into trouble after posting an ad on Craigslist looking to buy crack. The man, Anthony Mata, wrote in his ad, “New to the area, looking for ice or crack,” according to the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office.
An undercover officer saw the ad, pretending to be someone selling the drugs. The officer reached out to Mata and arranged a meeting. They agreed that Mata would buy an “eight ball” of meth for $80.
When the two met up and exchanged money for the drugs, backup deputies stepped in and arrested Mata. He was charged with trying to buy meth and using a phone to make the deal.
Mata wasn’t alone. His friend, Stephen Hornsby, was also arrested for being involved in the drug deal.
