A Florida man is facing serious charges after allegedly sending nude photos of his ex-girlfriend to her three children, following the end of their three-and-a-half-year relationship. The man, 38-year-old Lafayett Lee, reportedly sent the images just days after he had collected some of his belongings from the woman’s Coral Springs home. The victim, who had been in the shower at the time, was horrified when her son informed her that he had received explicit text messages. Upon checking, she realized the images were of herself, which she had previously shared with Lee during their relationship. Her daughter also received the same images, and another daughter’s phone began ringing with similar messages.
The children, including a 6-year-old girl, were spared from seeing the disturbing images, as her siblings took the phone away from her before she could view them. In total, Lee allegedly sent five photos and one video, which included explicit content of the victim performing sexual acts on herself.
The victim immediately identified the photos as being of herself and recognized Lee’s number as the source of the messages. She showed investigators past text exchanges with Lee, confirming that it was the same phone number used to send the explicit content to her children.
Following the incident, investigators arranged a recorded phone call between the victim and Lee. During the call, the victim expressed her outrage, saying, “That was low as f— how you sent all them videos and s— to my kids.” Lee responded, “That was low as f— what you did.”
Lee was arrested on three charges: Transmitting information harmful to minors and two counts of sexual cyber-harassment. As of Wednesday afternoon, he remains in Broward County Jail with a $40,000 bond.
