Walmart is recalling more of its Great Value brand products, and this time, it includes popular desserts. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced that J.M. Smucker Company is recalling Great Value Cheese Danish and Great Value Cinnamon Rolls.
This is not the first time Walmart has recalled food products. Recently, the company had to pull its chicken broth soup and apple juice from shelves. The chicken broth was recalled due to packaging issues, while the apple juice contained harmful levels of arsenic.
The latest recall affects 43,548 packages of the bakery items, which were sold across the United States. J.M. Smucker, known for its peanut butter and jelly products, also makes ready-to-eat desserts, including Hostess Twinkies.
Reason for Recall
The FDA classified this recall as a Class II recall, which means consuming the product might cause temporary or minor health issues, but serious harm is unlikely. The reason for this recall is that the desserts may contain small plastic pieces.

Other Recent Recalls
Walmart previously recalled its Great Value Family Size Chicken Broth. This product was sold in 48-ounce cartons at 242 stores across nine Southern states: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas.
The recall, issued in December, was due to packaging defects that could spoil the broth. The affected products had a shelf life until March 2026. While no illnesses were reported, Walmart urged customers not to consume the broth and to return it for a full refund. The company is investigating the issue with its supplier.
