Chicago police are looking for a group of men who, according to witnesses, killed a coyote on the city’s Southwest Side.
The troubling incident happened on Saturday afternoon in the Mount Greenwood neighborhood, specifically in the 10600 block of South Sacramento Avenue.
Witnesses told police they saw several men, whose ages are unknown, mistreating the coyote in a way that seemed cruel. Sadly, the coyote was later discovered dead on private property in the area. Officers removed the animal, but the circumstances surrounding its death have left many shaken.
Right now, no arrests have been made, and police are still gathering information. Further details about the incident haven’t been released yet.
