In Montgomery County, Maryland, an 18-year-old man was arrested late Wednesday after a burglary at a business turned into a high-speed chase through Gaithersburg.
It all started on January 22, just before midnight, when police received reports of a break-in at a commercial property on the 8000 block of Cessna Avenue. When officers got there, they spotted a black Cadillac CT5 speeding away from the scene. This wasn’t just a quiet getaway—it quickly turned into a chase.
The pursuit went onto Interstate 27 and then Interstate 495. It ended dramatically when the Cadillac crashed into a parked car. But the excitement didn’t stop there. Four people jumped out of the car and tried to run away.
One of them, an 18-year-old named Michael Evan Cutler, wasn’t so lucky. He was caught and taken to a hospital to treat some minor injuries he got during the crash. Inside the car, officers found items that linked the group to the burglary.
After his hospital visit, Cutler was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he was charged with second-degree burglary. For now, he’s being held without bond.
As for the other three suspects? They’re still on the run, and police are continuing their investigation to track them down.
