In Grady County, Oklahoma, a high-speed chase on Monday ended with a man being shot by officers after he reportedly tried to flee in a stolen car. He is now in the hospital, though his current condition hasn’t been disclosed.

The incident started in the town of Lindsay when officers responded to a report about a stolen vehicle. When they tried to stop the car, the driver took off, leading police on a chase that wound its way northwest into rural Grady County. The pursuit finally came to an end in a field near County Street 2960 and East 1410 Road.

According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, things took a serious turn when deputies spotted the suspect holding a gun. That’s when they fired at him. Thankfully, no one else was hurt during the incident.

The man was rushed to the hospital, and investigators are now looking into the details of what happened. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is handling the case to piece together the full story.
