Philadelphia Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver responsible for a hit-and-run crash that left a 47-year-old woman seriously injured. The incident occurred on October 8, 2024, at around 8:44 a.m. at Bustleton Avenue and Stanwood Street.
According to authorities, the victim was crossing the street in the designated crosswalk when she was struck by a gray 2010 to 2012 Honda Civic. After the collision, the driver of the vehicle exited, pulled the woman out of the street, and then fled the scene before emergency responders could arrive. The victim was left with a traumatic brain injury as a result of the crash.
The suspect is described as a man between the ages of 20 to 30, wearing eyeglasses, a red hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and red, white, and black sneakers. The vehicle involved has a missing right front hubcap and a visible rust spot on the rear trunk lid. It was also noted to have a temporary Pennsylvania license plate reading 4691-731.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and help identify the individual responsible. If you have any tips, do not approach the suspect.
