A man was arrested this week for jumping over an outer wall at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida. The incident happened on Tuesday evening, and it quickly caught the attention of Secret Service agents and local police.
The man, identified as 32-year-old Bijan Arceo, was charged with trespassing with the intent to commit an offense. According to a police report, Arceo entered the property from South Ocean Boulevard through the north service gate. He didn’t get past the secure areas or have permission to be on the site, but his presence was enough to spark concern.
The Secret Service released a statement saying the incident didn’t disrupt their operations but emphasized that they take such situations very seriously. They also praised the Palm Beach Police Department for their quick action and support. Officers arrived shortly after 6 p.m. to help the Secret Service, who had already detained Arceo.
The Mar-a-Lago estate, known for its high-security measures, is surrounded by tall gates and “No Trespassing” signs. Despite these warnings, Arceo managed to find his way onto the property. He’s currently being held at the Palm Beach County jail, with his bond set at $20,000.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time someone has tried to trespass at Mar-a-Lago. Back in July, a California resident named Zijie Li was arrested after repeatedly attempting to access the club over several months.
Incidents like these highlight the challenges of securing high-profile properties, even with tight security measures in place. While no harm was done, it’s clear that authorities treat these situations with the utmost seriousness to ensure everyone’s safety.
