PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. – Sunday night turned out to be an unusual one at the Target store in Peachtree City. Police swarmed the area after reports of a man climbing into the ceiling and refusing to come down.
According to officials, the man appeared to be going through a mental health crisis. Thankfully, after some time, he was taken into custody and is now receiving medical treatment.
While this incident didn’t pose any danger to the community, police stayed on the scene to check the damage caused to the store. For now, it’s unclear how long the Target location will remain closed while everything is assessed and repaired.
It was certainly a surprising turn of events for shoppers and staff at the store, but the good news is that the situation ended without any injuries.
