A tragic accident in St. Petersburg, Florida, claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Tuesday evening. According to the Pinellas Park Police Department, the crash happened near the intersection of 108th Avenue North and 61st Street North.

It was around 6:33 p.m. on New Year’s Eve when officers were called to the scene after reports of a single-vehicle crash. When they arrived, they found that a motorcycle heading south on 61st Street North had gone off the road. The bike hit a road sign and then collided with a parked car nearby.

The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital, but sadly, he didn’t survive his injuries. Authorities mentioned that neither speeding nor impairment seemed to play a role in the crash.
