Police in Nashville have arrested two more students for allegedly making threats against their schools in the wake of the tragic shooting at Antioch High School on January 22.
Authorities said one of the students is just 12 years old. He attends Intrepid College Prep and reportedly threatened to kill a group of students. After being suspended, he returned to school and sent a text to another student, threatening to shoot him. He even shared a video of a gun, according to police. The 12-year-old has now been charged in juvenile court for making a threat of mass violence and filing a false report.
The second student, 18-year-old Dorrian Harp from Hunters Lane High School, admitted to telling a classmate on Tuesday that he was planning to “shoot up the school” the next day. When police went to his last known address, they found it empty. Eventually, Harp and his parents went to the Madison Precinct, where he was arrested. He is now facing charges for making a threat of mass violence and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
The Metro Nashville Police Department emphasized that any threats against schools will be taken very seriously. They warned that anyone found responsible will be prosecuted.
