A police chase in Rankin County ended with a man in custody after officers stopped him on Highway 49 South near Old Highway 49 in Florence, Mississippi.
Florence Police Chief Brad Burns shared that the incident began when officers attempted to pull over a vehicle for improper equipment violations. Things escalated when the driver refused to cooperate and suddenly sped off, sparking a chase.
Thankfully, the situation was brought under control with help from Richland Police Department. Together, officers managed to stop the suspect and arrest him without any issues.
Once in custody, police discovered the man was carrying a significant amount of THC wax along with three firearms. No injuries or further complications were reported.
