Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence. The California Highway Patrol reported that Robinson was driving over 100 mph on US-101 in Woodland Hills, California.
The incident happened just hours after Robinson caught a touchdown in the Rams’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on “Sunday Night Football.” According to the CHP, officers noticed Robinson’s white Dodge sedan speeding and showing signs of alcohol impairment. He was arrested around 5:13 a.m. and later released to a responsible person.
This arrest was first reported by TMZ.
Robinson, who is in his eighth NFL season and second with the Rams, has had a strong season so far, with 26 catches, 384 yards, and six touchdowns.
Rams head coach Sean McVay is expected to talk to reporters on Tuesday about the situation.
