A tragic incident on the Southern State Parkway in North Babylon has led to serious charges against a Lindenhurst man. Felix Pantaleon, 22, is facing manslaughter charges for a crash that took the life of one person and injured others.
According to the Suffolk District Attorney, Pantaleon was speeding and driving recklessly near Exit 39S when the crash happened. Witnesses reported that he was weaving in and out of traffic and cutting off other drivers. Prosecutors say he even recorded himself driving dangerously on his phone.
The crash, which occurred in September, caused both vehicles involved to lose control and crash into the trees. Sadly, 49-year-old Reynaldo Collado from West Babylon lost his life at the scene.
