Santa Rosa Beach Woman Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash in Freeport

A tragic accident occurred in Walton County, Florida, on Thursday evening. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash, which took place just before 8 p.m. near the intersection of Black Creek Blvd and U.S. Highway 331 in Freeport.

A 67-year-old woman from Santa Rosa Beach was driving a pickup truck west on Black Creek Boulevard. As she approached a sharp curve, she couldn’t make the turn and ended up driving off the road, causing the truck to flip over.

Sadly, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
