In Greenville, South Carolina, there’s been a serious development involving a man named Mark Linton Roberts. On Friday, the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office announced that Roberts, who is 34 years old, has been charged with some very serious crimes related to child sexual abuse.
The situation unfolded on Gordon Street, where deputies had to call in a SWAT team to help arrest Roberts. He was wanted for three counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Thankfully, he was taken into custody without any trouble.
The case began in November when investigators got an audio recording from a young victim. The girl shared her experiences, revealing that Roberts had forced her to engage in inappropriate acts at his home on multiple occasions. The arrest warrant further stated that Roberts had also given the minor child vape pens and marijuana, which is both alarming and troubling.
The victim is reported to be between 11 and 14 years old, making this situation even more concerning. Right now, Mark Linton Roberts is being held at the Greenville County Detention Center as the case moves forward.
