Shocking Charges: Ardmore Man Faces Decades in Prison for Alleged Child Abuse

Share news:

An Ardmore man is facing serious charges for allegedly committing lewd acts against a child. Larry Wells, who is 76 years old, is accused of sexually abusing a child over a period of seven years, starting in 2017.

The situation worsened when he reportedly made several inappropriate proposals to another child, beginning in 2023.

Both children were under the age of 16 when these incidents took place. Because of these actions, Wells has been charged with one count of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16 and another count of making lewd or indecent proposals to a child under 16.

If he is found guilty, Wells could face more than 25 years in prison. This case highlights the ongoing issue of child abuse and the importance of protecting vulnerable children in our communities.
