Two teenagers, Paloma Gallardo, 16, and Josue Salvatierra, 14, were found murdered three days after they disappeared in Florencio Varela, Argentina. The young couple was last seen on January 30 when they left for the gym together. Their bodies were later discovered in a remote area, and authorities believe they were brutally beaten to death with a rock.
Paloma had told her father she was going to the gym with Josue, but she never returned. When their families tried to contact them, both of their phones were off. Hours after they left home, they could no longer be reached. Their disappearance quickly turned into a tragic mystery.
The police suspect the couple was attacked in a robbery that turned deadly. Their bodies were found near a homeless camp, where investigators believe the crime took place. An autopsy revealed that both victims died from severe head injuries caused by repeated blows from a rock. Authorities confirmed that Paloma had not been sexually assaulted and that neither victim had been tied up.
Paloma’s father, Omar Gallardo, an evangelical pastor and YouTuber, was devastated when he identified his daughter’s remains. Overcome with grief, he told reporters, “I can’t describe what had been done to my daughter’s body.”
Josue’s father went to Paloma’s house that night, hoping to find his son, but neither of them had returned. Paloma’s mother, Alicia Pita, expressed her pain and heartbreak, saying, “They were not trying to run away. They were not rebelling or looking for adventure. They were victims of cruel criminals. While we prayed for them to come home safe, God had a different plan.”
The two teenagers had been close neighbors since childhood and had started dating just two months before their tragic deaths. Paloma’s mother remembered her daughter’s last moments, saying, “She went to the square like any other teenage girl, happy and in love. She never came back.”
Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage from the area to find those responsible for the brutal killings. Authorities continue their search for clues, hoping to bring justice for Paloma and Josue.
