A heartbreaking and shocking story is unfolding in Cincinnati, Ohio. A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder after allegedly shooting a man accused of attacking his mom.
It all started late at night on February 20. Around 12:30 a.m., police officers rushed to Pasadena Avenue after getting reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found 30-year-old Levonte Hyde badly injured with several gunshot wounds. Hyde was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, but sadly, doctors couldn’t save him.
Later that same day, police arrested the teenage boy, who is one of the sons of the woman Hyde had allegedly assaulted earlier that night. According to court records, the woman told police that while she and Hyde were driving to a store, he punched her in the face several times. Officers noted that she had visible injuries, and Hyde was charged with domestic violence. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and the woman was granted a temporary protection order against him.
But things escalated quickly. About 30 minutes after the alleged assault, the teen reportedly got a gun from a safe and waited for Hyde to arrive. When Hyde showed up, the boy allegedly fired 12 rounds, hitting him multiple times. Police later took the boy into custody, and he appeared in Hamilton County Juvenile Court on February 21. The judge ruled that the teen must remain in detention or shelter care until his next hearing on March 3.
This case has left the community stunned, as it involves domestic violence, a tragic loss of life, and a young boy now facing serious charges. Authorities continue to investigate the incident as people try to make sense of what happened.
