They became her support system when her own family failed her.The girl’s mother tried to dismiss her daughter’s claims, saying she was making up stories just to get adopted by the neighbor family.
But thanks to the neighbors’ testimony in court and the girl’s bravery, justice was served. The court in Nampally, Hyderabad, made two important decisions:
- The father, who is 38 years old, was sentenced to life in prison
- The girl will receive 5 lakh rupees (500,000 rupees) as compensation
