A fire broke out in a two-story hillside house on Lookout Mountain Avenue, drawing a quick response from firefighters. Despite their efforts, a man lost his life in the blaze.
Neighbors identified the victim as Will Rothschild, reportedly a member of the wealthy and influential Rothschild family. Described as an eccentric figure with a taste for luxury, Rothschild owned multiple homes and a collection of high-end cars. Yet, he was also known for keeping to himself, leading some neighbors to believe his house was unoccupied.
Firefighters arrived on the scene at 4:40 p.m., and it took a team of 45 responders about 33 minutes to extinguish the flames. Sadly, Rothschild was discovered inside the home, and officials have yet to release his name officially. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death, and investigators are still working to figure out how the fire started. Thankfully, no one else was injured.
