A tragic story unfolded in Vancouver’s Renfrew-Collingwood neighborhood early Saturday when a young woman lost her life, and another man was seriously hurt. Police were called to a house near Rupert Street and Euclid Avenue just around midnight, and what they found shocked everyone.
Inside the home, they discovered a woman in her 20s who had sadly died at the scene. Another man, also in his 20s, had been seriously injured and had to be rushed to the hospital. A 46-year-old man was arrested right there at the house.
On Sunday, Vancouver police revealed more details about the case. The man arrested, Tenzin Choigey, is now facing serious charges, including first-degree murder for the death of 26-year-old Roshnee Gurung. He’s also been charged with aggravated assault, although police haven’t shared much about the injured man or his name.
Right now, Choigey is still in custody, and his next court date is set for November 26. The police are asking anyone who might know something about what happened to come forward and help with the investigation.
This heartbreaking incident has left many in the community shocked and searching for answers. If you have any information that could help, the police want to hear from you.
