Atlanta police are working to piece together what led to a tragic shooting at a southeast Atlanta apartment complex on Wednesday evening.
The incident took place at the Villages of South River apartments, located at 925 Conley Road SE. Officers were called to the scene around 5:32 p.m. When they arrived, they discovered a man lying unresponsive and not breathing.
Sadly, medics confirmed the man had died right there at the scene.
Right now, there’s still a lot we don’t know. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name, and there’s no information about who may have been responsible for the shooting.
The case is now in the hands of the Atlanta Police Department’s Homicide Unit, which is actively investigating to uncover what happened.
