December 4, 2024—In a startling turn of events, Aaron Malone, 23, of Exeter, Missouri, has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend, 24-year-old Aspen Lewis, just one day after he reported her missing.

On November 25, Malone contacted the Barry County Sheriff’s Office, claiming that Lewis had been abducted. Upon investigation, deputies discovered a large bloodstain and pieces of jewelry behind Malone’s truck. Surveillance footage revealed Malone arriving at Lewis’s residence shortly before midnight on November 24, with audible screams heard soon after.
