A Colorado woman who disappeared in late November has been found dead, authorities confirmed.
Jayna Lang, 46, had been missing since November 24, and her tragic death has now been ruled an apparent suicide. Karlyn Tilley, a spokesperson for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, shared the heartbreaking news with local media on Monday, December 2. Jayna’s family said they received confirmation the day before, on Sunday, December 1.
Details about the circumstances of her death are still unclear, as officials have not released additional information.
Jayna was last seen by her family in Littleton, Colorado. According to a statement from the Park County Sheriff’s Office, she had told her relatives she was heading to the Outlets at Silverthorne, a popular shopping destination. Authorities said she was likely driving her white 2016 Toyota 4Runner with the license plate “JAYNA.” Police had asked the public to keep an eye out for her vehicle and mentioned that she often visited areas in Park County, especially the Indian Mountain subdivision.
As the days passed without any sign of her, Jayna’s family shared updates and pleas for help on social media. On November 28, police issued a public alert, emphasizing their concern for her safety.
On Sunday, December 1, Jayna’s sister-in-law, Stacy Laigo-Horvat, shared devastating news on Facebook. “We were notified tonight with the not good news regarding my sister-in-law Jayna,” she wrote, expressing her heartbreak and grief. Jayna’s family had been holding onto hope throughout the search, but this outcome left them shattered.

Jayna’s story has touched many in the community, who are now mourning alongside her family. Authorities continue to investigate, but for now, her loved ones are left trying to cope with the loss of someone so dear to them.
