A tragic incident took place on Thursday night in the Grand Crossing neighborhood of Chicago, where a woman was fatally stabbed inside a home.
According to police reports, the victim, a 33-year-old woman, was inside a residence around 7 p.m. on South Eberhart Avenue when an unknown person entered and attacked her. She was stabbed multiple times in the back and abdomen.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and rushed her to the University of Chicago Medical Center. Despite efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead at the hospital.
As of now, no suspects have been arrested, and Area 1 detectives are actively investigating the case. Authorities have not yet released further details about the attacker or any possible motives.
