A heartbreaking incident unfolded in South Shore on Sunday night when a 42-year-old man was fatally shot.
Chicago police said they found the man in a third-floor apartment on the 7800 block of South Bennett Avenue around 9 p.m. He had been shot in both the face and chest. Emergency responders rushed him to the University of Chicago Medical Center, but sadly, he didn’t survive.
