Fulton County District Attorney, Fani Willis, is fighting to get back in the game. She’s asking the Georgia Supreme Court to reverse a decision that took her off the case against President-elect Trump over alleged election interference.

What’s Happening?
Back in December, the Georgia Court of Appeals ruled to remove Willis from the case. The reason? A potential conflict of interest tied to a romantic relationship she had with Nathan Wade, the lead prosecutor she hired for the case. Trump’s legal team jumped on this, claiming the case was compromised because of it. Willis herself publicly admitted to the relationship.
Even though this caused some controversy, the trial judge previously allowed Willis to stay on the case as long as Wade stepped aside from his role.
