What a special moment for the Biden family! Jill Biden shared a heartwarming first glimpse of her and President Joe Biden’s newest addition to the family: their great-grandson, William Brannon Neal IV. The photos were shared on Instagram on January 8, and they’ve already melted hearts everywhere!
In the sweet snapshots, we see President Biden lovingly holding little William, while First Lady Jill Biden adjusts his tiny hat. Jill’s Instagram caption says it all: “We are proud to introduce you to our great-grandson: William Brannon Neal, IV.”
Born in California, baby William arrived weighing 10 pounds, 4 ounces. During a briefing about the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles, President Biden shared his joy with reporters. “The good news is, I’m a great-grandfather as of today,” he beamed with pride.
This marks the first child for Naomi Biden, Joe and Jill’s oldest granddaughter, and her husband, Peter Neal. Naomi, the daughter of Hunter Biden and Kathleen Buhle, had already announced her pregnancy in November 2023 by sharing a picture of her growing baby bump on Instagram.
William is a very special addition as he’s the first great-grandchild for Joe and Jill, who already have two living children and seven grandchildren. Naomi, who tied the knot with Peter at a stunning White House wedding in November 2022, says her relationship with her grandfather, President Biden, has always been close. She fondly recalls growing up with him always around, attending sports games and school plays.
Before the President’s briefing, Jill, Joe, and Hunter Biden visited Naomi at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles to meet the newest member of their family.
