SCOTTSVILLE, KY—A routine day at the Allen County Sheriff’s Office took a shocking turn when a man walked in, bleeding from multiple stab wounds, and asked to speak with a deputy.
The victim, identified as Jeff Cooke, entered the sheriff’s office on Wednesday, where authorities quickly realized he had been stabbed several times. An immediate investigation led deputies to arrest 37-year-old Jacquelyn Magyar of Scottsville in connection with the attack.
Magyar has been charged with second-degree assault – domestic violence and is now in custody at the Allen County Detention Center. Officials have clarified that Cooke is not the former sheriff of Allen County.
